Founded in 2009 Vivo is a Chinese Android smartphone manufacturer. Chinese Multinational company BBK Electronics also the owner of another popular Chinese brand Oppo owned Vivo. Since 2014, Vivo has started to expand its market outside China and currently, in over 100 countries they are operating.
In their early time Vivo was a relatively unknown name. Inside and outside of China it became one of the biggest brands within a few years. Vivo was the 5th largest smartphone vendor in the world with a huge 36% growth rate & 100.7 million total shipments in 2017 compared to the previous year. Just under Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and Oppo the position was Vivo. in the big markets of India and China they were the 3rd most popular brand. Some of its successful releases from the past are Vivo X9, Y66, V7, V7+ and V9.
In December 2017, Vivo officially started its Bangladesh journey. no known press coverage was there. But within the next few months their social media page started to receive instant followers and reached a massive amount of audience. With four phones Vivo Y53, Y65, V7, and V7+ Vivo started their journey. They primarily established their authorized dealers & showrooms in Dhaka, Chittagong, Barisal, Bhola, Faridpur, Narayanganj, Mymensingh, Rangpur, and Sylhet. Vivo continued to grow in Bangladesh with successful releases like Vivo Y71, Y81 and Y81i in 2018. Vivo introduced V15 and V15 Pro with pop-up front camera and max full-view display in 2019 for the first time in Bangladesh. Currently, with continuous successful releases for various budget groups it is one of the most popular smartphone brands of the country.
